Introduction
The traditional counter based store model was struggling to keep up with peak crowds and manual stock checks. Customers queued, staff rushed, and inventory records often lagged behind reality. The RFID Smart Store was designed to fix all three at once.
The Challenge
The client needed a store where people could pick up multiple items quickly without long queues or paperwork. At the same time, every item issued had to be traceable. Stock counts had to stay accurate without staff scanning barcodes one by one or doing frequent manual stock takes.
Our Solution
We designed a full RFID enabled store where every product carries a tag. Smart readers are built into entry points, fitting areas, and the self checkout zone. Customers place their basket on the checkout station, and all items are detected in a single scan.
The store system connects to the existing inventory and issuing platforms. Prices, entitlements, and stock levels are checked automatically before the customer confirms the transaction.
How It Works in the Store
Results
The RFID Smart Store cuts average checkout time from several minutes to under one minute. Store staff can focus on assisting customers instead of scanning items. Management sees live visibility of stock levels, low stock alerts, and issuing patterns without extra work on the ground.
What Gear Turf Delivered
We handled system design, RFID reader and antenna layout, integration with the client’s inventory system, and the user flows for both staff and customers. The result is a store that feels simple to use, but quietly runs a very strict and traceable process behind the scenes.
